Welcome to Mrs. Johnston's 4th Grade Class!
This is my 10th year to teach 4th grade, and all of my experience has been at East Side. I have a business degree from LeTourneau University, and attended the Texas Certification Program at Region 7 prior to becoming a teacher.
Our classroom proudly represents Texas A & M University.
I am very pleased to have Miss Ashlen Richards as a student teacher this year. Here is some information on Miss Richards:
My name is Ashlen Richards and I will be a student teacher in your child’s classroom this fall semester. I am thrilled to return to East Side Elementary, where I went to school and my love for education began! I am a senior at the University of Texas at Tyler, and I am set to graduate December of 2020.
Fourth grade is a magical year for kids. I love this quote from Dr. James Dobson about children around the 4th grade age. "The period between ten and eleven years of age often represents a final time of great closeness and unpretentious love between parent and child. Enjoy it to the maximum!"
