Hello, my name is Rachel Glidewell and I teach 1st Grade. This will be my 17th year teaching at East Side Elementary School. I graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1994, "Once an Indian...always an Indian"! I earned my Associates Degree from Jacksonville College and continued on to the University of Texas at Tyler where I earned my Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have lived in Jacksonville, Texas most of my life and I cherish our little community. My heart is in serving the community as an educator and I continue to enjoy watching my students grow and learn with JISD. I look forward to getting to know my 2020 - 2021 students and their families and I know it will be a fabulous school year!!
